On 20th August, the 13th annual Family day took place in the outdoor area of Tallinn TV Tower, celebrating the 33rd anniversary of the restoration of Estonia’s independence.
We organized the Family day in cooperation with the Pirita District Administration and the Tallinn Defense League.
The day was filled with exciting activities for both adults and children. The fun children’s area with trampolines from Batuudijuss and a climbing wall from Climbing 2 Go brought joy to the little ones. Football enthusiasts were challenged by FCI Levadia. Those interested in technology were intrigued by the Rescue Board’s technical demonstrations. Tax and Customs Board showcased the skills of their service dogs, who help detect prohibited items. Tallinn Defense League showed how to cook delicious meals in the forest and famous TV chef Wend prepared dishes in a military field kitchen. Additionally, visitors could try camouflage techniques, use communication equipment, practice shooting in the shooting range and enjoy rides in an off-road vehicle.
As part of the event, we also held a grand lottery with prizes consisting of tickets to some of Estonia’s most popular attractions. Numerous street food vendors and an ice cream cafe offered delicious treats for the whole family.
The day ended with a free concert by the band Shanon.
A heartfelt thank you to all the partners and visitors who helped make the day of Estonia’s independence restoration special!
