Base Jump Boogie
A chill-inducing spectacle right outside the TV Tower!
There are a few towers whose birthday is visited by so many adrenaline-seeking extreme athletes. The Tallinn TV Tower is one of those lucky ones where the World Base Jumping Cup stage is held every year on its birthday.
What is base jump or base jumping?
“BASE” is an acronym that stands for various, but firmly agreed-upon categories of parachute jumping locations: buildings, antennas or bridges. The World Base Jumping Cup stage attracts around 70 Base Boogie skydivers from around the world who jump from the tower.
It’s an event filled with excitement and adrenaline, offering participants the opportunity to see something truly extraordinary. During the Base Jump Boogie, spectators can watch impressive jumps from the outdoor area of the TV Tower, attracting extreme sports fans. As the BASE jumpers are leaping off the building, children and adults can enjoy various activities – kids’ attractions, an outdoor café, crafts, workshops, an ETI (TV Tower mascot) programme and much more.
It’s an event that attracts both adventurous spectators and families looking to spend an exciting and varied day.
Spectators can watch the event from the TV Tower outdoor area free of charge!
