On 2nd November 2024 at 19:00 Guido Kangur and Oleg Pissarenko will perform at Tallinn TV Tower.
This concert evening will intertwine Estonian classical poetry with minimalist music.
The event will feature the texts of Doris Kareva, Tõnu Õnnepalu, Jaan Kaplinski, Juhan Viiding, Aleksander Suuman and others, accompanied by Oleg Pissarenko’s recent compositions, performed by the artist himself on guitar and a specially prepared mellow-sounding piano.
Guido Kangur is an actor at the Estonian Drama Theatre and a long-time promoter of jazz music. As an actor, Guido has captured the deep hearts of the Estonian public through countless theater roles, his unique charisma and his resonant, convincing voice. He has received numerous accolades for his artistic work, including the Order of the White Star, IV Class, and the Estonian Cultural Award.
Oleg Pissarenko is an Estonian musician, composer and long-time jazz advocate whose search for musical truth has led him to a minimalist sound, expressed through guitar and piano. Pissarenko has also received several recognitions for his work, including the title of ERR Musician of the Year and the Order of the White Star, V Class.
Both men share a deep connection to jazz and a mutual interest in profound themes.
