Tiny Tots’ Mornings at the TV Tower! Let’s play, explore and learn together!

Tallinn TV Tower invites the youngest members of the family to Tiny Tots’ Mornings, playful gatherings where children aged 1 to 6 can explore the world together with their parents through play, stories, movement and doing things side by side. The mornings take place high up on the TV Tower’s 21st floor, and every session is a little different.

An hour that moves at the child’s pace

Learning through play

Tiny Tots’ Mornings are not about teaching children the way a school lesson would. Here they learn by playing, moving, listening, watching and trying things out for themselves. Every child joins in exactly as much as feels right at the time.

01

Welcome circle

We sit together in a circle, everyone says their name and gives themselves a little pat. We stretch, move about and find out how old everyone is.

02

Stories and books

Every session has a new theme: animals, our homeland, the seasons or sport. In winter we listen to a winter poem, look at snowy landscapes in pictures and talk about how to help the birds.

03

Movement and games

We try out what a ski jump or a figure skater’s “swallow” looks like, play a simplified game of hockey or slide a “curling stone” towards the target.

04

Meeting ETI

The children teach ETI the game they have just learned, share pats and hugs, and take a photo together if they like.

A new theme every morning

The mornings are led by Meelike-Enel Andrejeva

The programme began in spring 2025. Forty-five children came with their parents to the very first Tiny Tots’ Morning, and since then the sessions have brought both familiar faces and new visitors to the TV Tower.

For each session Meelike-Enel puts together a new programme and picks a theme that might interest small children. The activities are also linked to one letter of the alphabet, which opens the door to new words and ideas.

Even the very youngest are welcome. Babies can move along with the group together with a parent, crawl for a while, look at books or put balls into a basket. Older children can take a more active part in the games and movement activities.

The friend everyone waits for

ETI, the big green resident of the TV Tower

One character is almost never missing from Tiny Tots’ Mornings: ETI, the mascot of Tallinn TV Tower. For the children ETI is one of the morning’s most anticipated guests. You can get to know ETI, share pats and hugs, and take a photo together if you like.

ETI usually joins the children towards the end of the programme. By then they have learned something new or mastered a game, and now they can teach it to ETI in turn. If the morning included hockey or curling, the children get to show ETI how it is done.

Sometimes ETI takes part from the very beginning. Together they have baked biscuit cake, muffins and karask bread, and the children have been able to teach ETI exactly what they are learning themselves.

A first meeting with ETI can be a big experience. Some children run straight into ETI’s arms, others prefer to watch from a little further away at first, and both are perfectly good ways to get to know a new friend.

For parents: if your child has not met ETI before, show them a picture of ETI on the TV Tower website before you come. That way the big green resident of the tower will already feel a little familiar on arrival.

After the games

To the restaurant with ETI

The morning does not have to end when the programme does. ETI invites the children and their parents to the TV Tower restaurant, where you can carry on over a meal together if you wish.

Among other choices, the restaurant offers little visitors green dishes inspired by ETI: ETI’s Planet Pancakes for older children and ETI’s Space Kört for the smallest ones.

Food is not included in the Tiny Tots’ Morning ticket price. Each family chooses and orders what suits them in the restaurant.

Kindergartens

A separate educational programme for kindergarten groups

Tallinn TV Tower welcomes kindergarten groups to come and explore too. While Tiny Tots Mornings are meant for 1–6-year-olds together with their parents, kindergartens have a programme of their own, where the group learns, explores and gains new knowledge together in an inspiring setting.

The programme for kindergarten groups combines playful and hands-on learning, giving children the chance to discover the world through age-appropriate activities. Plan a memorable visit to the Tallinn TV Tower for your group!

Practical information

For parents

Nothing needs to be learned or prepared in advance. You can come for the first time or come again and again, as each session brings a new theme and new activities.

What matters most is the time spent together: a chance to play, move, listen to stories, learn new words, explore the world and meet other children and, of course, ETI.

Who is it for?

Tiny Tots’ Mornings are intended mainly for children aged 1 to 6 together with a parent. Both active participants and children who prefer to watch from the side at first are welcome.

When?

13 and 27 October and 10 and 24 November 2026, from 10.30 to 11.30.

Is registration required?

There is no advance registration. You can simply come along, and there is no fixed limit on the number of participants.

What if we are late?

That is not a problem. Mornings with small children do not always run to the clock, and you are welcome to join after the programme has started.

Does a parent need to be present?

Yes, the child takes part together with an adult. Parents of the youngest children move and take part alongside them. Parents of older children may stay nearby and let the child join in more independently.

How much does it cost?

You can take part with a single TV Tower visitor ticket. For annual pass holders participation is free. The visitor ticket also gives access to the rest of the TV Tower.

Can we bring a pram?

Yes. Where possible we recommend leaving the pram in the cloakroom, but parents of the youngest children have brought prams up to the 21st floor as well, and a suitable spot is always found.

Are there baby changing facilities?

Yes. Changing tables and paper towels are available on the TV Tower floors, and the restaurant has high chairs for small children.

Can we bring food or drink for the child?

Yes. Eating and drinking are not restricted during the activities, and it is worth bringing a familiar drink or a small snack, especially for the youngest children.

Can we eat afterwards?

Yes. At the end of the programme ETI takes the children and parents to the restaurant. Each family orders and pays for their food separately.

TALLINNA TELETORN: “Televisioon on aken maailma”

Dolores Hoffmanni klaasvitraaž on Teletorni oluline sümbol.
