“What the eye perceives”
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
This is a playful and engaging lesson built on group work and discovery.
During the programme we talk about Tallinn TV Tower and work out the points of the compass, so as to understand directions and locations better. We get to know the best known landmarks and sights of Tallinn and look at them from 170 metres up.
We discuss what those places used to be like and what they are now, and finally we draw our own map, to fix what we have learned and to develop spatial thinking.
The programme is unique because at the TV Tower you can see the whole of Tallinn at a glance, in a 360 degree panorama. The points of the compass are learned above the real city, not only on paper. The city, the coastline, the forests and the roads are all in the same picture at once.
